Millions of children worldwide are struggling with the consequences of war, poverty and natural disasters. Education is the key to enabling them to have a self-determined future. But around 262 million children cannot read or write despite attending school – we want to change that.
Visions for Children is committed to educating children in crisis regions. With your donation we can expand school buildings, equip classrooms, improve sanitary conditions, provide teaching materials and, in addition, strengthen the capacities of communities through training and workshops.

Visions for Children e.V. is a non-profit association based in Hamburg, Germany that has been committed to equal opportunities and high-quality education since 2006. Our focus is on improving learning conditions and the quality of education at schools in crisis and war zones. In doing so, we sustainably promote access to education and create the conditions for a self-determined future for children and young people.
Our projects include the expansion and renovation of school buildings, improving sanitary facilities and equipping classrooms with basic materials. In addition, we strengthen the capacities of communities through training and workshops.
Our work is based on the fourth sustainability goal of the United Nations (“Quality Education”) and aims to give every child – regardless of origin or gender – access to a safe and supportive learning environment. Together with our supporters, we are committed to long-term changes and better prospects for the future.
